PCQI Training – Human Food

The FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCQI) training is designed to meet the FDA’s requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The course provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop, implement, and maintain a Food Safety Plan. Successful completion of this course qualifies individuals as Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals (PCQI’s) for Human Food, as recognized by the FDA.

PCQI Training – Animal Food

The FSPCA Preventive Controls for Animal Food (PCQI-AF) training course meets the FDA’s requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) for facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or hold animal food. Course Objectives
By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the three main types of Food Safety hazards

HACCP Certification Exam
To become a certified HACCP manager, participants must pass an 80-question, closed-book multiple-choice exam within a 2-hour limit. A minimum score of 70% (note: certain state or local jurisdictions do specify a higher requirement). Certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and recognized by the Conference for Food Protection. HACCP certification is valid for five years.
